Ngaruwanajirri Incorporated

Founded in 1994 at the Keeping Place, Wurrumiyanga, Bathurst Island, Ngaruwanajirri is a Tiwi word meaning “helping one another”. The workshop provides a supportive and safe space for artists with a disability to come and create their own individual and inspiring art. Art created includes natural ochre paintings on paper and canvas, batik on silk, lino prints on paper and fabric and ironwood carvings.
